About Adrian

Adrian is a barrister working at the Financial Services Authority in Canary Wharf. In his spare time he likes to go to cricket and rugby games with friends, play bad bridge and backgammon and is Chairman of Action Disability Kensington and Chelsea, a user led organisation providing advice and support to disabled people.

Adrian’s Experience

Having trained in Gray’s Inn and the Temple, Adrian worked as a banking supervisor at the Bank of England before moving to the FSA where he manages a team of lawyers carrying out public interest High Court and Tribunal litigation.

Although Adrian is not a career politician he has been involved with the Conservative Party since joining the Conservative Students in 1983 and has been involved, most recently, in supporting the campaign to win back Hammersmith and Fulham for the Conservatives and working for Boris Johnson to become Mayor of London. Since his selection as PPC a year ago, Adrian has been campaigning in Islington North.

Campaigns in Islington North

Islington has been carved up between Labour and the Liberal Democrats for far too long. Residents want an alternative to politicians who take the borough for granted.

Adrian is campaigning for better value for money for taxpayers at a time when Boris Johnson has shown the way by freezing his share of the Council Tax (while Islington is taking more) and providing cheaper, more effective services.

Adrian supports Islington Conservatives’ campaign to get a fairer deal for leaseholders from Homes for Islington and better services for Council tenants.

Adrian has highlighted the threat to the Sobell Centre in the local media and has challenged the Liberal Democrat council to guarantee its future. Adrian also joined the march to save the A & E at the Whittington Hospital and has supported the campaign in the press.

Thank You!

Adrian would like to say a big thank you to all our supporters and volunteers who gave so much throughout our 2010 election campaign and of course to our the voters.

We have shown that support for the Conservatives is growing at an incredible pace within the area and at the next election we are confident we will see our candidate elected.

But for this to happen we still need YOUR help for everything from leaflet distribution to keeping us informed of problems in your area.
